Where to start with teenage acne

Is your teen struggling with acne?  Here are our dermatologists’ recommendations:

1.       Start building a consistent routine.  Use a gentle cleanser like Epionce Gentle Foaming Cleanser or Epionce Lytic cleanser.  Apply a thin layer of moisturizer.  Cetaphil or CeraVe are a great jumping off place.

2.       When starting a routine, patience pays off!  It takes 8 weeks to start seeing improvement in the skin.

3.       Try to avoid all picking on those blemishes.

4.       If no results after 8 weeks, consider adding either Differin gel or Epionce Lytic treatment.  Use a small pea sized amount to the entire face nightly after cleansing then follow with your moisturizer.

5.       If your skin is still not where you’d like, submit a consultation and our experts will provide a personalized, prescription regimen!
